From its inception during the pre-partition era, our founder, Syed Wajid Ali, envisioned a future driven by sustainable growth and positive impact. Our journey began with Syed Wajid Ali, who established strong connections during his business trips across the British Empire. These connections led to a pivotal partnership with the American Safety Razor Corporation, resulting in the establishment of the renowned Treet Razor Blade Company. Located in Karachi’s West Wharf, this venture was housed in a building that later became known for assembling Ford vehicles.
As our business expanded, we relocated the razor blade plant to Hyderabad, next to the Sind Oil Mills. In the early 1950s, Treet Corporation had four ventures: the Soap and Vegetable Ghee Company in Rahim Yar Khan set up in partnership with Levers, the Razor Blade Plant set up in partnership with American Safety Razor Corporation at Hyderabad, the Insurance Company set up in partnership with Alliance, and Abbasi Textile set up in partnership with Sir William Roberts. The group’s commitment to and relationship with its foreign partners was based on mutual trust and confidence, a trait that the group still proudly nurtures.
Sir Syed Maratib Ali’s visionary leadership paved the way for Treet Corporation to become one of the oldest and most respected business groups in South Asia. His steady ascent through the corporate ranks has led him to his current role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Treet Corporation Limited, where he expertly supervises an eclectic portfolio of companies spanning sectors from manufacturing and healthcare to information technology, automobiles, sports, and music.
In his capacity as CEO, Mr. Ali continually strives to build on the prestigious heritage of Treet Corporation Limited while also guiding its future trajectory. With a relentless passion for innovation and operational enhancements, he remains committed to upholding the core values that define the company.
Mr. Ali’s academic foundation was laid at Saint Louis University, USA, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Sales and Marketing Operations. Upon joining Treet Corporation Limited, his visionary leadership and uncanny knack for business excellence have been amply demonstrated in his role as Executive Director.
